home sweet home.

Where you rep from "Im from the Bay .. Yee Yee" "Im from the boogie down Bronx dun!" "Im from Sacramento!" hahahaha ... um ... akward silence anyone? Yes, originally raised in Vallejo but reside in Sacramento for the important growing years of my life. Yea, yea, Sacramento isn't the best place. It's not known for the side shows, cars, clubs, girls, or even the people. This city is only known for being the capital of California. There is more too it though. Go way past the malls, and way past how white people dominate the race percentage. Im talking about the relaxing environment, the good people you meet, and the underground culture that few see. I can probably say that the best part of Sacramento is Midtown/Downtown Sac. Even though I haven't fully experienced this epic movement, I still have caught a few glimpses during the night. "where the freaks come out". You'll see people vending on street corners, dancers, art shows, local music bands, and even your boutique hot spots throwing block parties. Its crazy to actually see that in the "Valley", but only few know. That few is also including myself. But I will be experiencing this on SECOND SATURDAY.

Ok enough of that. Just a little late blog from last Friday. Had the day off so went to downtown with Catherine to enjoy a beautiul day.

Then a few stops. Artifacts. Originally this store was called Toy Room or Box but moved on to bigger and better things. Store has a collection of raw and vintage apparel and shoes. Looking around gives you a relaxing vibe compared to most, where they haggle you to buy stuff. Not here, chill and welcomed is how we felt. Also a bunch of artwork surrounds the room with its collective japanese toy figures which gives this store its spice on others. The stores pretty sick. Shout out to them, and go visit!

As I have previously stated, their artwork is bananas. I dont know if you can tell but these picture were actually developed using the original copy which was a polaroid. Then transfered/drawn onto canvas to englarge the photo. Also the Splatter are actually coffee stains. Crazy huh!

The Crest Theatre. These movie showrooms have been up for decades, since 1949. Just some historical factoid for you guys.

Then to FTC. The shop of all campouts. This brings me back when shoes were the world to me. I honestly think they have changed. Their a little bit more cocky it seems but who knows. Some dude said I couldn't take any pics of the SB because they were in some shit with some online ordeal. I dont know. All I know is that I have been going to that store longer then he has worked there. Lol. And the new releases, the stores owner Eddie's wife designed - "Twin Peaks"

Good Night off to school early in the morning.
