The day has, well .. this proposition has been brought up numerous amounts of times in the past, but not until yesterday was it to take up to legislature to be approved. California is actually really thinking about passing this to help our state out. It was said to produce more then a million dollars for the state. Having it open to those who are 21 and up, and also it would be taxed the shit out of it. I was readuging the Sacramento Bee this is what some folks said, "Marijuana already plays a huge role in the California economy," said Stephen Gutwillig, the group's California state director. "It's a revenue opportunity we literally can't afford to ignore any longer."
Many people think that it is bad to approve of people smoking, and its morally incorrect. Assemblyman Roger Niello, R-Fair Oaks he said, "I don't think we're particularly well served in our society to further accommodate or even encourage something that's going to be unproductive and damaging to the individual -- especially not for the reason of generating revenue," ALSO alot of people think there are better ways like, getting people out of Iraq for example.
My opinion: This would be a change in I think every teenager, or any individual that uses this substance. Cannibus clubs, being able to walk around with weed (as long as your 21 and up), and just in general how weird would that be. No more hiding it from the cops, or even your parents. Just be like "I'm 21" Alot more people would be under the influence just like alcohol. Who knows if it will help, I guess you have to give everything a try once! Oh and BTW Mr. Obama is behind it. If he is down I am!
